Chickahominy River

The place where we helped with the baling of straw last Saturday was near the Chickahominy River / Swamp. Jimmy took us back over there when we went down to collect the tractors/equipment and took us down in the woods to see the river:

We could see that the river was relatively low (not up into the swampy area where the cypress knees are)

There were a LOT of flies... not pleasant to be out for a long period of time, but interesting to see!
