Pima Air and Space Museum - Day 2 - Tram tour

The Pima Air and Space Museum has 80 acres of aircraft outside. Even though the weather was mild, it was a lot more pleasant to view them from the tram tour than by walking.

These were just the planes in close proximity to the two hangers I had visited the day before...

Lockheed C-69 Constellation painted as TWA passenger plane. They donated not just the airplane but also the baggage carts - our docent quipped, "There's still a couple of pieces of luggage on there in case you're missing any!"
This plane was outfitted with skies for landing on snow or ice.

Our docent said that this airplane had been voted as "ugliest" by the docent crew. It had two propellers that rotated in opposite directions.

This is another plane that had two propellers per engine (4 engines in this case).

After the tram tour, we visited the 390th Memorial Museum (a museum within the Pima Air and Space Museum grounds). Its centerpiece was a restored B-17G. The exhibit across the back wall was nose art from many of the B-17s.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Pima Air and Space Museum and highly recommend it!
