| We stopped at an overlook of Lake Itasca - I found this information very interesting - particularly how little difference there is between the highest and lowest elevations in Minnesota, and that the state is approximately in the middle of the North American continent. |

| We returned to the Visitor Center to finish seeing the displays there. |

| They had these cute gliders out front (which were *very* uncomfortable to sit on!). |

| On our way back to our campground, one of the local farmers was transporting his round bales from the field. |

| Back at the campground, we decided to walk down to Lake La Salle. |
 |
| There were a couple of rental cabins down closer to the lake. |

| It was quite a pretty lake. |

| We think these are Aspen trees - this happens to be a multi-trunk tree which are not very common. The aspens seem to generally be pretty small diameter trunked trees. |

| Going back up was a bit of a hike, but we enjoyed getting out and about. |
