This campground is quite large - I think the person who sold memberships at Palm Desert indicated that it is the largest in the Thousand Trails system. It feels very empty, even though there are a lot of RVs here. The area where we are parked, section N, is prized for being high up so you can get a cellular signal for telephone and internet. It is also about as far as possible from the entry gate, and with speed limits of 5 and 10 MPH within the park, it takes about 10 minutes to get out of the park.
We didn't leave the park today, but explored some of the areas within the park. We visited the Country Store and the Family Lodge. In the Family Lodge, we played a game of air hockey in the game room (Dwayne won handily!) and then practiced some dance steps on the nice dance floor (it is amazing how little we remember - even though we met out Country-Western dancing!).
I took a couple of pictures of an old tractor that is here on the grounds to show my brother... so here they are!
Dwayne got some better pictures using his camera today, but I don't have them downloaded. Maybe you can see it well enough even though the pictures are very shady. The thing I thought looked odd about the tractor is that it only has one wheel/tire in the front.
