After getting checked in at the campground, we headed to Ginny and Josh's house and got to see their nice place (I will get pictures and post later). Then we went out to Oregano's for pizza -- wow, YUMMY! And plenty to take home to have for lunch tomorrow (or, that was the plan!).
We had had several orders sent to their address, so it was rather like Christmas (even though I had ordered all the stuff, I didn't remember what I had ordered). When we got back to Miss Daisy, we opened the packages to find:
- Some extra drawer/cabinet latches - we have had a couple of these break - I'm thinking that 10 years might be about the limit of the useful life of these plastic parts, so we decided that having a couple of spares would be useful.
- The parts to fix our microwave: it seems to be a common malady that Sharp microwaves put into 2004 era motorhomes have the "feature" that they will only run 59 seconds before cutting off. This is a wee bit annoying when microwaving as, anything that needs to cook for longer than 59 seconds, you have to press start each time it stops to keep it going. We had found a writeup on what the problem was on irv2. We made detail notes on what we did to fix and will probably place on Trek Tracks.
- A copy of Adobe Acrobat V9 - yes, I know it is a couple of versions old, but all I want is the ability to create a pdf file, and it was available for *purchase* (not "rent") at a reasonable price. The funny thing with this is that the CD was in a huge box with lots of nice air-pockets to protect the CD from bouncing around. It turned out this box was **perfect** for helping us get the microwave down -- Rom 8:28 - The Family Secret...
- A SiriusXM radio - we took the Honda Pilot in for service while we were home, and afterwards, we got a letter from SiriusXM saying that the dealership and they were willing to give us a 2 month trial. We didn't want the trial on the Pilot (it is sitting in our garage), but with that trial, we qualified as a "customer" of SiriusXM and could take advantage of a December promotion to get a SiriusXM radio for free. So, I signed up for the trial, and then ordered a radio with the plan to install it in the Trek (which doesn't have a satellite-capable radio).
One picture for today - I'll get more pictures hopefully this week - the mountains around Tucson are beautiful.
