I heard a diesel pull in next to us Wednesday morning and looked out the kitchen window -- it kinda looked like a Blue Bird, but I wasn't sure... went to another window and could see the "goat rails" on top that are characteristic of a Blue Bird:

It is a 1996 rig owned by Lowell and Maxine (we also met them Wednesday morning!) who live in the Grants Pass area and get their regular service done here at Henderson's. |
They are getting ready to head to Arizona for the winter, but they go to Ajo (which is near Why and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument). I thought Lowell looked familiar, but he said that they don't go to Quartzsite, so I'm not sure whether we've met them before or not...
Anyway, it was nice to see another bird and talk to fellow birders!
