The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1
We walked around the campground during a break between rain showers last evening...

I was commenting to Dwayne a few weeks ago (I think when we had driven up to Artist Point and saw Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan -
http://trekincartwrights.blogspot.com/2017/09/mt-shuksan-mt-baker-and-artist-point.html) that I was so thankful that God had given us such beauty to see... He didn't have to do that... the earth could have just been dull and boring... but in every day, we are allowed to see the beauty that God has created. And... the beauty is all around us. It is easy to see in nature, but there is also beauty in the people we encounter, the expressions on their faces, the service that they provide us (even when we're having to pay $8.50 to obtain a package from the Post Office, the guy who waited on us was unfailingly pleasant and nice to us (as, I hope, we were to him!)), or the person working the cash register at Safeway helping us with knowing how to scan our "rewards" card... Recognizing it as the grace of God to provide to us was something I had not thought to thank Him for - being grateful to His provision of beauty - just because He can, and just because He chose to do it!
