Progress? Yes!

We are staying in Grants Pass for another week or so waiting for replacement airbags to arrive. My smart big brother suggested that we look into getting the body work done on the rig to fix the fiberglass that was damaged when the wheel/tire came off - since we would be in a particular location for a little while and we could ask for recommendations at Henderson's.

We got a recommendation for a couple of shops - one of them was booked up for several weeks, but the other one said that they could take a look at it. We went by there Friday and they gave an estimate to repair the fiberglass...
...so we went back over there this morning, and they removed the remainder of the panel to work on it while we're staying here at the campground.
They are hoping to have it completed Thursday or Friday this week. They will be fixing the fiberglass and making a whole piece, but will not be doing the paint work at this time (they are also backed up in their schedule). The technician said that he would paint a solid color so it will look "ok", but eventually we will want to get it painted. There are other parts that we want to get painted as well... where the clearcoat is peeling along the top... eventually.

On another note, friends of ours had let us know that they were on their way up here to get a Road Performance Assessment done at Henderson's to see if we would still be here. They were to arrive yesterday, so we went by Henderson's to see if they were there. They were, but they were about to head out on their road assessment so we didn't see them... we headed over to another place we wanted to stop, and when we drove back in the area, we saw their rig stopped on a street just a couple of blocks away with its flashers on... that doesn't look good... we got a message from them that their drive shaft fell off - oh my!

They got towed back to Henderson's...

That's the kind of tow truck we would have had if we elected to get towed (instead of "limping" at a slow speed). Losing a drive shaft doesn't give you an option of "limping" at a slow speed...
So... I guess they are going to be here for a while... I think that they officially failed their Road Performance Assessment....

We did get to see Johana, and hope to see both of them later this week. I could commiserate with how Johana was feeling as their home and vehicle both were out of commission. We're praying that God will give them wisdom in what to do...
