The items had been left to soak with the dye applied overnight in plastic gallon storage bags. Ray and Leslie set up tables and pans for rinsing excess dye out of the items. |
As the rubber bands or zip ties were cut off, the beautiful designs were released! |
A zoom in on Corrie's creation! |
It was so neat to see all the creative designs! |
Each so unique... |
Each so beautiful! |
We all rinsed out our items and then put them back into the gallon bags. Leslie and Ginger were going to the laundromat to wash and dry the items, while several of the ladies went to the Olympia Farmers Market, and several of the guys went to a car museum.
At the Farmers Market, there was a vendor selling tie-dye items! |
This was an interesting looking vegetable - Romanesco - the vendor said it tasted like cauliflower. |
When we got back to the rally site, Leslie and Ginger soon returned with our washed and dried items and we all gathered around to collect our beautiful items. |
We enjoyed seeing all the creations! |
Mark used his flour sack towel as a tablecloth! |
Dwayne used his flour sack towel as a do-rag! |
I think we're pretty stylish! |
Lovely ladies and their creations! |
Yummy Prime Rib and all sorts of sides! |
The ladies got a bluebird wind chime for Leslie... |
And the Northwest Bluebird group got a Bluebird thermometer for Ray. |
Arla was giving these two "the business"! |
We are SO appreciative to Leslie and Ray for all they've done this week! What a fun time we've had!
Dwayne looks really happy in his tie dye outfit. I'm guessing he enjoyed the project. :)
