Precursor to the Treks

Walking around the Thousand Trails Verde Valley, Cottonwood, AZ, today, we saw a motorhome that looked like a Trek, but it was marked as "XLT". The owner, Richard Watson, came out as we walked by, and we found out that this was one of the prototype models for the Trek, a 1988 model - his particular rig is one of four of that particular model that were built - his is the #2 of the four. It was built on a John Deere chassis and has stainless steel exterior lower body construction (at the area of the bays), then aluminum, and fiberglass caps. It had the bed that came down over the seats and a large rear bath. It was an amazingly nice looking vehicle!
