California, here we come!

We traveled further west today, crossing into California,

This sign was at the rest area

and through the northern part of the Mojave Desert (which looks a lot more *like* what I think we commonly think of as a desert - lots of sand),

This sign was also at the rest area...

and past Zzyxx Road...

Dwayne and I read a book where part of the action took place at this road - I don't think there is anything actually there!

Ultimately ending in Palm Desert at the Palm Springs Thousand Trails RV Resort where we will be for a few days!
