We're in wood!

When we went to the Palmdale Swap Meet a couple of weeks ago, we saw a vendor who would make custom signs in wood. We had been thinking about getting a sign made, and talked with him about making a custom sign for us. We decided on a design and he let us know last week that it was finished, so we drove up to Palmdale to pick it up...

I took the picture of the sign on the (rather ratty) picnic table at our campsite - we were working on how we're would hang it on the front of the bus when we're stopped - but we are VERY pleased with it! He captured the side view of the bus, even including the "goat rails" on the top - so nice!
Continuation of the story (before I got the above posted)...

Dwayne put together plans for a stand for the sign and figured out what supplies he needed from the hardware store and we got them.
We had seen that another RV in the campground had their sign put up with a PVC pipe stand, so Dwayne designed one that would work with our sign.

Frame of the stand is completed - Dwayne is painting it. We figured that PVC would be lightweight and easy to take apart and store when traveling.

There it is all finished in front of the bus!
We think it looks great!!!
We are very pleased with it and think that other Blue Birders will be impressed with the detail on it when we get together with them in Quartzsite in a few weeks.
