Willow Grove Park - Lake Dallas, TX

Our plan was to be at MCD all week while they measured then made and installed the new shades for the front of Miss Doozie... but... the technician who counseled with us helped us understand that the front of Miss Doozie is not well suited for their shades - the dash at the drivers side comes up quite high and quite near the front window and the solution is to have a "drop" beyond the solid piece at the bottom of the shade to cover the part that would be left open (on the passenger side). That "drop" would have ended up causing too much of a visual block to be able to see appropriately while driving. So... we decided that getting the MCD shades was not the right thing for us to do at this time.

While I think they would have been willing for us to stay there in their "campground" (parking lot) for the week, it seemed a bit awkward since we weren't getting any service from them, so I looked for another place to stay and found a site at Willow Grove in Lake Dallas, TX.

Coming into the park, there is an "interesting" customized RV... It looks like it started as a standard trailer. I wonder if the owner is particularly tall and wanted higher ceilings? It appears that there is a bungee cord holding the knob of the door toward the back of the rig - the doors look like residential (interior?) doors. Maybe the owner will be at home at some time while we are around and we can find out more!

We have a site that is right across the campground road from the lake and at the end of the loop so we are at the end of the peninsula that makes up the campground. We have a view of the lake from all our windows, and a great view out the front! It is a lovely day today in the DFW area too...
