Blair Station

At the Thousand Trails in Palm Desert, we met Len who talked with Dwayne about the propane hookup we were trying to get working. He recommended that we go to Blair Station to get the parts we needed, even being so kind as to go back to his rig and printing out a map for us! So, we headed over there on Friday and got a connector and a hose.

Dwayne decided that there were a couple of other things that he would like to get so we went back over there on our way from Palm Desert to Acton, CA.

Let's just say that Blair Station is a *unique* place!

There is a gate that I guess is closed when the store is closed with a very nice sign on it with the name.

The store is made up of a number of interconnected buildings.

You can probably find anything RV-related that you ever want in the store... in addition, up near the ceiling/roof there are collections of "things" that probably would be very interesting if I knew what they were. Dwayne said he thinks those are 8 or 9 blow torches. I'm sure there is a reason why you would need 8 or 9 of them...

As I headed back out, I saw this "interesting" fountain... it wasn't running because of the water shortage in California, and yes, the top two "pools" are what you probably think they are...

When we got there on Friday, I felt like they must be a good spot since there was a Bluebird parked there! On the back it said, "There I Go"

On the front it said, "Here I Come". It also had a pair of Longhorn horns mounted on the front for good measure.
If you're in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert/Thousand Palms area, check out Blair Station for RV parts and supplies!
