Having our "ducks in a row" allowed us to check off a lot of "to-do's" today

We got the confirmation yesterday that the Jeep tires were in at the Sam's Club in Watertown, so we headed there this morning.

First stop was at Sonic -
The iced tea wasn't quite as good as I was hoping for, but we enjoyed breakfast burritos!
Then to Sam's - since we are "Plus" card members, we could arrive before the club was open for regular business (between 7-10am) - we got there at about 8:15am and they took the Jeep right away. We used the time while they were putting the new tires on to walk around the store (nearly empty of customers) and stock up on some items.
The iced tea mix that I like to use was on sale for 91 cents!!! Wowee!!!
Then to CVS to pick up Dwayne's prescription and we both got flu shots.

Onwards to the post office where we picked up a box with our mail (6 weeks worth - got our voter registration cards - hurrah!), and a package from Amazon that contained a hi-low hitch to raise the receiver on the back of Miss Doozie by 6".

Then to the Home Depot for glass cleaner and Walmart for all sorts of stuff that the Walmarts in Canada don't carry.

By then, it was about 1pm, and the movie "Sully" was playing in the local theater, so we decided to stop off and see it. We enjoyed it!

To get to Watertown, NY, we drove through the Thousand Islands area. We had to cross two high narrow bridges (it wasn't so windy as the day when we were leaving Quebec, and not so scary in the Jeep). There was a toll on the Canadian side for leaving Canada and a toll on the US side for leaving the US.
There was a wide load coming across the bridge before we got on it, so traffic was stopped. There was a warning sign that trucks should stay 150m apart - I'm guessing that the bridge structure isn't quite as robust as current sizes and weights of vehicles require. Glad I was not driving Miss Doozie!

We took the Thousand Islands parkway back toward the campground - this was a picture out the window of the Jeep while we were waiting for a construction delay to clear.
We felt like we'd had a very successful day. Tomorrow, we'll get the new hi-low hitch installed and re-measure the parameters (height of Jeep compared to back of Miss Doozie, and length of safety cables).

One more picture - this was actually from a couple of nights ago... we had taken Miss Kitty outside, she likes to go out at "kitty-kattin' time of night" (near dusk). I was watching her when Dwayne said, "Oh, look at that!"
There was another "cat" out and about - bold as anything! We quickly caught up Miss Kitty and got her inside to avoid causing any angst to the "pole-cat". We had read reviews before we came to this campground that they had quite a large number of skunks. We haven't smelled anything though, so either they peacefully co-exist with the campers and their animals, or everyone keeps their dogs and cats up in the evenings.
