Uff Da!

As we were driving on the two lane roads in rural Wisconsin, I came across a lighted warning sign about the construction ahead - one of those that can express a specific message.

This one happened to have two messages. What I saw was:

PREPARED 

TO

STOP

and then when it changed:

FLAGMAN

AHEAD

BE

I thought, "someone whose first language is not English is preparing the signs!"

Then it changed again and I realized it was supposed to be:

FLAGMAN

AHEAD

BE

and then when it changed:

PREPARED 

TO

STOP

Hmmm, a more verbose sign creator, I guess. 

In addition, I've seen some stores with signs or items saying "Uff da!"
