In the flea market today, I saw "Minnesota pipestone"...

Interesting looking rock... 

I asked the shop proprietor - he said that this was used by native Indian peoples to make pipe (thus the name) and that it is now used for carving...

I just thought it was pretty!!!

 Friends that we met in Palm Desert Thousand Trails, Joan and John, told us that they were going to a presentation on AGM and Lithium batteries at Discount Solar, so we met them there.

A sign that I noticed in the Discount Solar store that we visited today...

Can you see the "Q" on that hill over there? Near the middle of the picture... That's the Q Hill that we hiked on Saturday! (http://trekincartwrights.blogspot.com/2018/01/a-hike-up-q-hill.html)

We invited Joan and John to come out to the Birds' Nest to have Mexican food with us!

We had a good view of the sunset on the back side... the eastern sky - tonight...

Quite beautiful!

We couldn't see the western sky cuz Al had parked his bus and trailer on the western side of the tables - and others had parked their trucks and Jeeps - to serve as a wind break! We were quite happy they were there! It was windy and chilly without them!

After dropping Joan and John back at their rig, on my way back to the Birds' Nest I got a picture of the arrow that some of the Birds' Nest folks created that points the way into the main entrance - it is just solar powered LEDs hung appropriately on a desert bush, but it works well! The lit thing to the right is a rock painted with a Blue Bird on it... I will need to try to get a daylight picture of it...
