Wet stuff from the sky

Monday afternoon was quite cool in temperatures...
The evening sky definitely showed a front moving in...
I had done this screen shot earlier in the week with the forecast of this thing called "rain" for Wednesday - we've seen this stuff before ("rain", that is), but it isn't very common here in Yuma!
One of the fellows that we talked with at the Arizona Marketplace last week told us that it has not rained at his house (in the Foothills area, where we are staying) for at least a year. Mark, our "landlord" here, indicated that they had gotten about 10 minutes of rain in the past couple of months.

Monday night it rained for about 10 minutes where we are parked. Unfortunately we had a couple of screws out of the roof (so we could have the correct size to get new ones) and had a bit of water leakage inside. :-( Thankfully it wasn't a very long rain!

We got enough rain to thoroughly wet down the sand - making it a perfect medium for my rake-art!
