Wednesday - National Atomic Testing Museum

When we were in Las Vegas earlier in January, we got Groupon tickets to go to the National Atomic Testing Museum - but we didn't find time to go - so we wanted to be sure to go while we were here with the "Rally after Q".

Sites that were considered to be the Atomic Testing location.

Why Nevada was selected
There was a mock-up of an office in the museum... and it had a picture that I found interesting... I got Dwayne to take a picture so I could zoom in to see what it said...
I saw interesting text on the side of that thing that looks like a file cabinet on the left side...

That's what I thought it said: "IBM Estimator"! "Price $80,000"  "Profit" (at the top) and "Loss" (at the bottom)

This picture shows a mushroom cloud visible from the casinos in Las Vegas. I can't imagine that was safe... There was a lot of information in the museum about the various things that people did that were supposed to make them safe...
This was a very interesting letter from Albert Einstein to FDR...

There were many interesting displays and history in the museum.
