| It was getting toward a warm part of the day... so we didn't know how many would be out where we could see them. This black leopard was out, but sleeping... and not in good enough sunshine for us to see his spots. |

| Our guide said that lions are more like "cat" and tigers more like "dogs" - in that the lions tend to do what they want to do, and the tigers are easier to train. But, she said that all of them are trained to do some tasks - like stretch up onto a platform, or to turn on all sides - so they can check their health. This sanctuary is a non-contact sanctuary, so they don't physically touch the animals. |
