Delivering hay - the customers - the Downs' miniature horses

We got to see some neat people when we were delivering hay. The first lady had a horse boarded in New Kent and could have the hay put into the boarding stable's loft.

The second lady has miniature horses, and a magnificent barn (the "Taj Ma-Barn" or "Barn-Ma-Hal") for them. She is also quite an artist!
Deb and one of the carousel horses she has painted (sorry for the fuzziness - I evidently had the flash turned off)

Photos from the barn-raising. A group of Amish came and had a barn raising for them.

These are pictures that Deb has painted. This guest room is in the second story of the barn.

The sleigh bed that their children slept in when small is now part of the guest quarters.

The mare of the 3 miniatures that she has.

A foal of her mare's in the center, and a male to the left. She said that each of them could be used to drive in pairs - any two of them will pair up. She also said that it is very hard to introduce a new miniature into the group. I think she would like to get a fourth so they can drive as a team of 4, but the mare, particularly, doesn't particularly like anyone new coming in.

A wagon that Deb has made that the miniatures pull.

The "Barn-Ma-Hal" with the empty hay delivery truck.

The "playhouse" (we delivered the hay to a lean-to area behind the playhouse).

The other end of the "Barn-Ma-Hal"

The practice ring - it was a bit wet from the rains we had.
It was interesting also because Deb is married to Willie who also attended Walsingham and he and Patti were in the same class! Unfortunately, Willie was away playing golf, so we didn't get to see him. They have quire a beautiful place!
