Tilling the Produce Patch

While we were on the farm, I captured a couple of videos of Jimmy tilling the Produce Patch (garden that the church members help to tend) with his "Super A" on June 3, 2016.

I think it is cool how it mounds up the soil to the plants with the discs that are underneath the tractor, and then smooths out the wheel marks with the tillers in the back!

It was good that Jimmy got the tilling done because the rains came down and this is what it looked like on the next day, June 4:
What a difference a day can make - it was quite muddy!

But it is nicely tilled!

The church folks came and did a picking on June 13 -
On June 14 - it is as dry now as it was wet earlier!
The corn has a bit of grass in it, but it will grow over that. There are yellow flags marking okra planted within the corn. It seems that the okra distracts one of the pests that attacks the ears of corn, so Jimmy plants it as an insect deterrent.
The collards and kale have been picked and taken to Feed More - it wasn't as much as at the end of May, but they still appreciated it!
