Day 7 in Quartzsite - moving to a new rally, with the Blue Birds

Today was the day to move to the "Blue Bird Nest" - south of Quartzsite at La Posa South. This location in Quartzsite has a $40 fee for 2 weeks (or $170 for the whole season), but it has a dump site and water filling station, which makes it very nice!

On the way - we were stopped waiting for traffic to clear to make a left turn on Arizona 95, and I noticed a creature about to "attack" Dwayne and the Jeep driving separately behind me... Every once in a while while we're driving we'll see a bug on the rear camera - it shows up QUITE BIG compared to the vehicles behind us and can be momentarily scary when you just see it out your peripheral vision!

View 1 out our front window - you may be able to distinguish a pile of firewood to the left in the center, and a few Blue Birds across the circle (and a couple "SOB"s - Some other Brands).

A few more in the circle.

Last year we were parked outside the main circle, and we had thought we'd do the same this year, but there were a couple of main circle sites left, so Miss Doozie is there to the right of this picture.

There are two whiteboards in the center of the circle with information about the events. Tuesday night we have a Prime Rib dinner hosted by Ray (the organizers take pleasure in providing slightly confusing information like "Please pay Rib for the Prime Ray...").

This one tells that tonight's Italian Potluck is cancelled/postponed to tomorrow (the weather doesn't look a lot better for tomorrow...). It is chilly (highs in 50s, lows in high 30s), very windy, and rainy...

Another view of some of the Blue Birds. Miss Doozie is just to the left of center in this picture, and another LXI Millenium Edition is to the right of her (maybe 2001, it has a slide).

Some of the more "classic" Blue Birds at the end of the circle.

Some of the organizers' coaches - Prime Ray or Rib is in the one at the center. You might be able to see another rig parked behind him with solar panels on top.
