The new washer/dryer is installed!

Today was the day that Mobile RV Service was to remove the old washer/dryer and install the new one in the bus!

The old washer/dryer. We haven't used it for the past 5 weeks since we knew the water pump was leaking.

When Jason diagnosed the water pump being the failing component, he also did the planning for the new unit. We were concerned that we might not be able to get the washer past the residential refrigerator, but he determined that if the washer/dryer was on its back and the front of the freezer compartment removed, it would fit. We prepared by having the freezer emptied and ready to remove the front of the freezer compartment. We actually thought we ought to be able to remove the "drawer" of the freezer, but, if it is removable, we couldn't determine how to do it!

The old washer/dryer out and space readied for the new one. I took the opportunity to scrub the area - it was pretty grimy! The hole in the back is where the dryer hose vents outside.

The new washer/dryer is in its place and Dwayne was checking things out.

Here you can see where the freezer compartment door has been removed and looking down the hall to where the new washer/dryer is still having installation completed.

All finished and 2nd load of laundry is underway! Hurrah!!!
