A household chores kinda day

We needed to do cleaning in the rig and get laundry done, so today was a chore day. Dwayne dumped the tanks while Patti vacuumed and cleaned out the kitty privy. Then we headed into town to a laundry. It was a bit different than most of the laundromats we have been to - they did contract laundry for ships and other local folks, so there weren't as many folks in there doing their own laundry. But the folks were nice and they were able to easily deal with machines that weren't working correctly.

As we were leaving to go to do laundry, a guy drove by in an antique red convertible...
We followed him out of our camping loop

He turned left where we turned right...

But the best part was...

He had red fuzzy dice hanging from his rearview mirror!
One of the things that we had read about was the "Jellybean row" - row houses in St John's that are painted all different colors. Well... it turns out that almost all the row houses in St John's are painted all sorts of colors! So... we're not sure we've seen Jellybean row, but we've enjoyed the houses and the colors!
Can't you just see how it would happen?

The first guy paints his house some odd color and all the neighbors are horrified...

And then it becomes "The Thing" and everyone in town paints their house some interesting color and it works!
After we got back to the rig, Dwayne took Miss Kitty out for a little while...
There are very pretty pink puff-ball like flowers alongside the wooded area.

Miss Kitty is not sure she really wants to be outside...

We have trained her that we don't want her to go underneath the bus (mainly because when we try to get her out, she can slip the harness very easily).

She likes rolling in the grass -

we have seen various creatures outside the bus - a rabbit, squirrel, some sort of mouse-type creature, and, this evening, another cat - so she may be smelling something from one or more of them.

Here's some more grass to smell...

Oooohhhh - that looks interesting over there!

She doesn't stay out long, but enjoys checking out the area.
