Point Riche Lighthouse

We were told by one of the locals that there were moose and caribou to see if we drove out to the Point Riche Lighthouse about dusk (or dawn) - so we headed out there last evening.

No trip would be complete without a wrong turn or two...

As we were turning around from a wrong turn, we saw this beautiful site of the boats in the port or harbour (Canadian spelling - blogger is telling me it should be "harbor").

We headed on out to the lighthouse. At first we saw a lot of people walking from the parking lot at the information center, so we parked and started walking. But, then we saw other cars driving on out to the light house, so we drove on out.
It was quite lovely even if there weren't any moose or caribou around!

After it was quite close to dark (too dark to get good pictures), we did see a few caribou!
