Getting together with friends

We got together with friends Jane and John Dawson today -

 After dinner at Da Boyz Italian Restaurant in downtown Yuma on Main Street,

We came back to the rig to chat for a while...

 ... and enjoyed the sunset.

We met Jane and John two years ago when we first got together with the Christian Fellowship BOF in Quartzsite. We saw them again that winter at the Escapade in Tucson. We met up again at Quartzsite in early 2016 and then reconnected with them in Yuma when we returned in late February last year. John and Jane took us on our first visit to Algodones (http://trekincartwrights.blogspot.com/2016/02/considering-dental-tourism.html). We enjoyed following their trip to Alaska as Jane posted on Facebook last summer. This year, we knew we would see them at Quartzsite, and then, since we knew that they were also planning to go to Yuma after Q, we knew we'd see them here. We've had the opportunity to get together with them a few times and we've enjoyed it so much! They will probably be heading east this weekend - we may see them around Tucson or Phoenix, and maybe in Ohio sometime this summer.

It is nice to have RVing friends that we end up being in the same place with at times, but it is a little bittersweet when we know that we're going to be away from each other for a while....

Oh, and what WAS that device? It is a lighted pooper scooper. So, now you know!
