Another way to look at the need for Bible translation

A few weeks ago, Vanay was sharing with me part of her orientation tour... within it, she has the "Skittles" display:


The leftmost container has the number of Skittles equivalent to the number of languages that have the full Bible in their language.
The next represents those that have the New Testament in their language.
The third represents those that have translation started in their language....
and the last shows the number of languages that don't have any scripture in their language, no translation started...

As Vanay says in her presentation -- she selects one Skittle from the first container and points to it... "Maybe that red one represents the Bible having been translated into English. I am so thankful that the Bible is translated into my mother tongue."
Yes, me too, Vanay...
