A flight out of Quad Cities airport

One of Will's friends is a private pilot and Will asked if he would be willing to take us on a flight - so he scheduled a time for Sunday afternoon.
Dwayne was in the co-pilot's seat and got to see what the pilot was seeing...

Will and I had a great view from the back!

We flew over Will's place and other places nearby...

The clouds and the farm properties were so beautiful!

Jim was banking to give those on the right side a better view for a little while...

Hennepin Canal - unfortunately, by the time it was built, the sizes of barges that needed to use it were larger than was planned when the locks were built, so it was never actually used (http://friends-hennepin-canal.org/what-is-the-hennepin-canal/canal-history/)

I think this was also part of the Hennepin Canal - if I understood correctly, Jim said that this area was used at times for landings and take-off by sea planes (he owns one and has trained pilots to fly them).

I think this was coming up to the Mississippi

I told Will afterwards that I don't think he could have selected an activity that Dwayne would have enjoyed more!
