Visiting Family and Friends

We realized that we weren't *too* far from the greater Chicago area when we were in the Quad Cities, and we had noticed that some fellow members of the SKP (Escapees) Christian Fellowship BOF (Birds of a Feather) were staying near Elgin, Illinois, so we decided to head that way when leaving Will's place.

SKP friends Sue and Carl were staying at Paul Wolff Campground - a county campground that is near Elgin. It was a very nice campground, and first-come, first-served, but not at all full, especially since we arrived after Labor Day weekend. We got to meet up with them and do a little catching up on their news, though never enough time to catch up as much as we would want!

On Wednesday evening, we arranged to meet up with Patti's Aunt Mary, and cousins Bob and Pam. It was SO good to see them and get to talk with all of them!

I am SO thankful that we were able to get together with Aunt Mary!
Aunt Mary was married to my Dad's younger brother, James Christian.

Even though Aunt Mary and Aunt Libby (Mom's sister) were related only through my Mom and Dad, they corresponded and kept up with each other while Aunt Libby was alive, and Aunt Mary reminds me of Aunt Libby - I wonder if my Hunt cousins think so?
