I know that "Texas is a whole different country", but I didn't know that we'd be heading through Cuba to get to Georgia....

Good news, we didn't have to have passports and we just passed through without stopping or seeing Castro or anything! |
Cuba was actually the first exit in Alabama. Before we got off, we stopped at the Alabama Welcome Center/Rest Area. It was a really nice place to stop with LOTS of truck parking - a good place to spend the night if we need to in the future (I-20 eastbound Alabama Welcome Center).

Nice fall decorations |

Another shot of Miss Doozie and The Jeep - there were two rows of parking - we were in the one closest to the building, but the truck you can see behind us was diagonally parked the other way. Lots of parking spaces! |
We're heading east across US 80, enjoying a little slower pace and beautiful scenery.
You only found Cuba because relationships have been restored between the US and Cuba,
ReplyDeleteI also wondered about that! Would the Garmin have routed us differently before diplomatic relationships were restored?
