Renting - part 3

Since we would only have the rented motorhome, and not a separate vehicle, we decided to stay in a campground that was supposed to be close to "town" - we selected Colorado Landing in La Grange, TX.

On the way down, we stopped at one of our favorite eating places, Royers' Round Top Cafe:

Even though it was hot outside, and would have been unsafe to leave the kitties in a parked car, with the motorhome, we started up the generator and kept the A/C running to keep the MH cool while we enjoyed lunch.

We really enjoyed La Grange, though it was quite a walk into "town" from where we were parked. This made us realize that we would need to either have a vehicle that we would tow behind a motorhome (aka "toad"), or rent vehicles whenever we would be stopped in a town for a few days.

The site where we parked was at the very end of the campsites; in the morning and evening, deer came by and grazed outside our motorhome. One of them was quite irate at Macy being in its environment!
