Rainbow's End RV Park, or the Escapee's center in Livingston, TX, has a permanent "SmartWeigh" system installed. On Friday morning, we had an appointment to have all 4 corners of our motorhome and our Jeep weighed.

It was very interesting information; we found that we were very evenly balanced side-to-side, and that it would be better if we could shift some weight from the back axle toward the front. One thing that the lady who talked with us after the weighing suggested was that we consider our tow vehicle as the "garage" and put things in it to change the weight distribution from the motorhome to the toad. The instruction sheet that they provided gave us terrific information on risks associated with being out of balance, and websites to visit with more information about how we should have our tires inflated to best deal with the load we are carrying. All-in-all a very worthwhile time and led to good conversations on the best options for us and our motorhome.
From Livingston, I drove most of the way up to Murchison, TX, where we were going to our first rally with a chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association, FMCA.
