Around the campground

We stayed here at Tetilla Peak Campground today...

Dwayne got some to-do's moved to the "started" category:
It is hard to tell what is going on, but he was replacing the fresh water inlet as it has been leaking. Unfortunately, it is still leaking some, so we're not sure what is causing the problem now. The good news is, the water that leaks just goes onto the ground (not into the bus somewhere), and we can avoid most of the leaking by filling the fresh tank and just using off of it instead of from the fresh water inlet.

He also started work on another project... making use of the concrete picnic table under the ramada (metal awning over the picnic table) to do some sawing...

This is the current state of the project - any guesses on what it is???

The cats, and I, pretty much stayed inside... it is a bit warmer here than we were hoping, so we have to run the air conditioner... and we're only on 30A hookups so we try to get by with just one A/C unit running. The one we were running was NOT the one in the back bedroom where the cats spend most of their time... but much of the day they were finding places to lay where they could be in the sunshine so I don't think they were too bothered by the heat.

There are a lot of folks arriving today - since it is a holiday weekend, a lot of folks who just are out camping for the weekend. I thought this shot that has Miss Doozie way across there in the background, and this tiny little trailer as a contrast, was interesting. There are 4 folks in that trailer - 2 adults and 2 small children... I don't know if you can see it or not, but way over on the left side of the picture there is a tent-like structure - it is only about 4'x4' at the base, but about 6' or more tall. I don't know whether it is a shower or a changing room or what!
The nice thing is that, although it is in the high 80s-low 90s during the day, it cools off into the 40s or 50s at night, so we can sleep with the windows open (until it gets too chilly and we have to close up!).

Oh, the project: Dwayne is making a shelf for us to have the tablet computer sit on when we're traveling so we can see the display from the Silverleaf program! We had been using a temporary shelf, but it was not holding the tablet very securely, so he is fixing it up with a more permanent solution. It will also provide a shade over the backup camera monitor as that can sometimes be hard to see when the sun glares across it.
