The 56th Escapade officially begins tomorrow, but there was a lot going on today for us.
We are on the ROW for the Christian Fellowship Birds of a Feather (BOF) group, so setup was at 10am for that. We had the banner and supports stored on the roof of Miss Doozie, so while I was up there getting those items, I took a couple of pictures.

See those red buildings WAY over there on the right... that's where the events are being held... |
A look down the line of rigs from us - again, the red buildings are where we're going to be for most of each day. We'll be getting our walking done! |
Our banner set up on the "ROW" |
Registration was also going on today - they had it split up alphabetically - for some reason, the "A-D" and "S-Z" lines were always the longest... |
Patti is pointing to about where Miss Doozie is parked... Miss Doozie actually may be off the map but up in that area.... |
We had the practice for the "Parade of Banners" for the Chapters and BOFs that will happen during the opening ceremony on Sunday. |
We are ready to march with our banner (and yes, Patti has a mallet in her pocket to try to attach the PVC pipes more solidly together - it seemed to come apart any time we didn't want it to - and not come apart when desired... oh well!) |
The SOLOs will be marching in front of us... |
And the Boomers will be marching behind us. |
On the tables in the "social" area, the table decorations are lighthouses made of two clay pots and a saucer painted white and stacked, and a clear globe and candle for the lighthouse "light" - aren't they cute? |
