Miss Doozie has cork flooring in the living room/front area. While we're glad it isn't the carpet that came with the rig originally, we are not particularly pleased with the look of the cork floors.

For whatever reason, these floors just don't thrill us - I guess you could say all the variations in colors disguises any dirtiness, but they just always look like they are dirty to us. |
At the Penn State Hershey Medical Center, the Children's Hospital entrance was just before the main entrance when coming from the parking garage. On the side of the sidewalk was a cork play area for children (I guess that's why it was there). I (Patti) used it each day as I walked to/from the parking garage to the hospital - it was like walking on a trampoline - it bounced my steps back up and was really comfortable to walk on!

There were little hills that kids could play on, and if they fell (on the cork) they probably would not get hurt (but the sidewalk is right beside it. |

The parking garage is just down past the person you can see walking further down the sidewalk. |
On next to the last day that Dwayne was in the hospital, we took a very loooonnnngggg walk to the medical records department, and decided to return to his room via the front entrance - so he could walk on this cork material too! I'm not sure he found it as intriguing as I did, but he did agree that it felt kinda like being on a trampoline. If we had it on the bus, I wonder what would happen if something fell onto it as we were driving - would it bounce back up? ;-)
