Our visit to Rhode Island

We had planned to stop overnight in Rhode Island, but headed on into Massachusetts in hopes of seeing a former co-worker of Patti's. So, instead of sleeping in Rhode Island, we fueled up there. Our fuel gauge was showing that we still had a little over half a tank but the price was within the range that GasBuddy told us was the best we could find (2.419/gal) and it looked like we could fit into the pump. As it turned out, we fit very well (the diesel pump was around the side of the station).

Unfortunately, the fuel pump required Dwayne to hold it the whole time...

After putting 127+ gallons of fuel, at $307+, Synchrony bank decided to decline the charge due to suspected fraud. After being on the phone with them for 20 minutes, they were convinced that there was no fraud, just two folks traveling in a bus that needs a lot of fuel! We had let them know that we were traveling in the northeast, but they seem to have lost that information. The guy at the fuel station was very nice about it... I would have been wondering, "uh oh, I let those people put over $100 of fuel in their rig and now they can't pay for it!" We could have used another card or even cash, but we get 5% back on fuel on the Synchrony Sams card...
