Our stop in Salisbury

We enjoyed our stopover in Salisbury, MA. In addition to having dinner with Pat and Bonnie (http://trekincartwrights.blogspot.com/2016/07/stopped-for-few-days-to-rest-and.html)
we did quite a few other things also!

We visited Salisbury Beach - this was the area at the end of "Beach Road" that we could drive to within just a few minutes from our campsite - this area had all pay parking - $10 at the pay lots, and a few meters. We found one with 18 minutes remaining on it and were able to enjoy as much of the beach as we wanted in that time!

An interesting looking gull at Salisbury Beach

Then we started driving north up Route 1A up the coast. There were lots of beach houses in this area, and a few "beach access" points. We stopped where we saw street parking near one of the beach access paths. This was the view north...

And this was the view south.

We stopped to visit Fort Constitution in Portsmouth, NH - this is looking out through the entrance at Dwayne coming in...

A view across the grounds inside the fort.

We kept on going north and ended up in Kittery, Maine, where we stopped for a late lunch at Warren's Lobster House.
That trip was all on Friday. Saturday was dedicated to getting multiple weeks of laundry done (gotta love those laundromats!). We also got to meet new neighbors at the campground, Doug and Pauline, from New Brunswick, and enjoyed talking with them.

On Sunday evening, Dwayne was enjoying the fire at our campsite - the campground had really cleared out. And, yes, it was really cool enough to enjoy a fire! The temperatures on Sunday did not get out of the 60sF.
