Miss Doozie got to be in a parade - well... kinda!

As we were leaving the Finger Lakes area on July 4, the Garmin directed us to go through Main Street of Canandaigua. As we were driving there, traffic suddenly came to a complete stop... for quite a while - about 20 minutes according to the dash cam. I chose various songs to play while we were stopped in traffic... which turned out to be a good thing once we got turned onto Main Street....

The stopped traffic was because there was an Independence Day parade going on down Main Street. They had closed the southbound lanes and changed the northbound lanes into one lane going north and one going south. Once we got turned onto the northbound Main Street and realized that a parade was going down the southbound lanes, we had Miss Doozie participate with her musical horn.

We were definitely having the most fun of any of the vehicles who were stuck in the traffic!

Our friend, Barb, saw us in the traffic backup: "Didn't realize the parade would shut down traffic on the fourth. I was heading to grocery for a couple of items. Ended up on 5 & 20 in a line. Saw RV up ahead of me but couldn't tell for sure it was you until you turned onto Main Street. Recognized the jeep on the back. THAT is a big rig. Glad to see you made it to Dwayne's friends. Great to visit with you."

We pulled together the video from the dash cam... if you have some time you might want to "drive" along with us for a little while!
